Recently I decided to try growing my beard long again. I have always had trouble growing it out because I just don’t have the facial hair density that other men do. After catching my girlfriend drooling over some beautiful male model on Instagram the other day, I asked her if she wanted me to grow a luscious man mane just like that oddly attractive male model. She just looked at me and LAUGHED!
I knew I was going to need reinforcements, so I Googled "best beard balm review" because I had read somewhere that balm has a more dense texture that makes all your face whiskers appear fuller when applied. I quickly scanned through the list of beard balm review sites and found this one was consistently listed in the top 10 rated products so I had to check it out for myself

Being oil based, this product has an easier time reaching the skin beneath the hairs, which helps reduce itching and beardruff (yes this is actually a thing).
But Balm Has It's Benefits Too
This on the other hand, still contains the essential oils, but has the addition of other ingredients such as Shea butter and bees wax. Balms are a good source of nourishment and softens the hair and skin. They also provide alight hold, and can be used as a good tool for styling when you have to tame your man mane. You will also notice that balm doesn’t have a strong fragrance like the many aromas of oil.

Or you could use a combination of the two and take your bearded lifestyle to whole other level. The possibilities are endless!
Our Final Verdict
It definitely lived up to its expectations, and left my hair feeling smoother, healthier and even slightly thicker after a just a week of use. I danced around my girlfriend while stoking my beard, yelling IN YOUR FACE as I enjoyed the softer texture of the beard balm. I liked how it conditioned both my hair as well as the skin. If you have shorter hair I would suggest you read some of the other reviews, we have published here but if you have a longer beard that needs maintaining then you need to try this balm at least once.
