Cinder Beard Oil Review

Cinder Beard Oil - Product Review

It offers a really refreshing twist compared with other oils

Introduction & Overview

Product Name:

Cinder Beard Oil

Product Type:

Oil

Summary:

I was immediately intrigued by the choice of ingredients used in Cinder Beard product. While most standard oils generally tend to contain jojoba, argan, almond or coconut oil in their concoctions, it did come as a surprise to see The Blades Grim boys make use of apricot, avocado and Vitamin E extracts to make their in their own all natural recipe.

I had heard a lot about The Blades Grim grooming products and have been keen to try them out for some time. I typed them into Amazon and read a few beard review sites....Cinder was the first one that popped up. I was looking for a new premium product to work into my facial hair grooming routine. Almost all men's products contain ingredients like jojoba, argan, almond and coconut oil and I was looking for some thing different to test against the rest. That’s what intrigued me about Cinder beard oil, It contained alternative ingredients that I haven’t tried before, and I was eager to test it out!

Cinder Beard Oil Ingredients

  • Prunas Americana (Apricot) Kernel
  • Persea Gratissima (Avocado)
  • Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
  • Fragrance: Cinder

When I first read the label, I was immediately intrigued by the choice of ingredients used in the Cinder Beard product. While most standard oils generally tend to contain jojoba, argan, almond or coconut oil in their concoctions, it did come as a surprise to see The Blades Grim boys make use of apricot, avocado and Vitamin E oil in their own special recipe.

We all know that Vitamin E oil is like the holy grail of essential oils in the beard world, but to be honest, I don’t think I have tried beard oil that contains either apricot or avocado oils before so I was excited to give it a try, and compare the difference of using jojoba and argan oils, as my own little science experiment.

The other thing I was a little shocked to see advertised was the fact that Blades Grim uses synthetic fragrance to add scent to the Cinder product. I’m not going to lie, I was a little bummed that Cinder Oil didn’t use all natural ingredients and was a little concerned about how strong the fragrance was going to be, but I wasn’t going to knock it until I tried it so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Beard Grooming Routine

As you can see I take my beard pretty seriously. Growing a beard can be a pretty big decision in a man’s life, and the common mistake that we all make is overlooking the effort that goes into growing a healthy and luscious looking beard. I know a lot of guys out there think it’s as easy as not shaving as often and washing it with soap and water when you shower, but sadly my friends you are mistaken. When hair follicles grow, it can lead to excessive itching, and in severe cases it can feel like your soul is dying a little inside. It’s constant, annoying and very in your face, LITERALLY!

This is why it is so important for men to not only use good grooming products, but also learn to adopt a daily grooming routine that takes minutes and can save you so a whole lot of discomfort. For those of you who are reading this, scratching your facial hair and wondering why you look like a homeless guy listen carefully, because I’m going to give you 5 essential grooming tips to help your facial hair problems.

Wash Your Beard Daily

I know your all rolling your eyes thinking this guy thinks I’m stupid or I stink, what an A-hole. Calm down fellas I’m on your side! What I’m saying is that most guys make the common mistake of shampooing their beards everyday.

Shampoo puts a lot of strain on your hair, because it strips out the natural oils that keep your facial hair healthy and moisturized. I’m not saying don’t wash your beard at all, but what I do is reduce washing it with shampoo to just twice a week, and washing with water, then finish by using leave in beard conditioner after each shower every other day.

There are heaps of great oils and conditioners, shampoos and moisturizers that are great to incorporate in your routine just get online and Google away.

Get in the Habit of Trimming Regularly

It doesn’t matter if you’re just trying to maintain growth, or grow out your beard altogether, regular trimming is essential in any man's grooming routine. Eliminating dead or split ends is good for maintaining your facial hair appearance and health. Once you have reached a certain point of growth, I recommend trimming at least once a week, and you will need to invest in proper beard trimmers, a comb, oil and moisturizer if you haven’t already.

Love Thy Beard Care Products

I can’t stress this enough guys; oil is your best friend! It helps maintain and condition your hair and can make you smell really manly if that’s what you’re into. Otherwise there are a tone of products that come unscented. My suggestion is to find the right one for you and buy it in bulk, because once you start using it you’re never going to want to run out of it.

Train Your Beard

You will probably notice that every time you first start growing your beard out, it's like it has a mind of its own and grows all over the place making it really difficult to manage your facial hair. By simply brushing your hair with a comb or a brush every day is the perfect way for training your man mane to grow in the same direction you want it to. Regular brushing is also great for untangling hair and smoothing out the look of your facial hair.

Have Fun With Your Facial Hair

The best part about having a beard is sometimes you get to style it. The top beard oil marketplaces are packed with styling tools such as balm and waxes that give you a good strong hold, and allows you to control and manipulate the direction of your hair. Be sure to apply a minimal amount, particularly when using wax as it can be quite thick in texture, and when applied incorrectly can leave your whole face feeling really hard and sticky as well as looking a bit weird.

Ok sorry rant over 🙂

Our Final Verdict

When I first opened the bottle I really liked the burnt woodsy fragrance that came with Cinder Oil, and after applying it everyday after showering (yes following my grooming routine mentioned above) I did see that it was great for relieving itchiness and helped make my hair feel smooth and healthy just like most of the other beard oils. I did see a slightly different finish than when I used oils that contain jojoba and argan oil, but none the less it was still a great facial hair oil.

It was really easy to apply, and with the handy restrictor valve all you have to do is use 3 drops, then rub it evenly into your face. Of course, I opted to finish it off by brushing my man mane with my comb. I do have to say that after applying the product, the musky smell of cinder was a little over powering for my liking, and ended up giving me a slight headache. I think if The Blades Grim had made Cinder a more natural beard oil it wouldn’t have such a chemically and musky fragrance, but who knows maybe its just me. Overall this review shows that this product is top notch and should be considered a must when buying facial hair products.

5/5

The Good

  • Contains Vitamin E Oil
  • Conditions the skin and hair, softening harsh, course and rogue hairs
  • Relieves itchiness and flakiness
  • Very reasonably priced – One of the cheapest products I have seen in the market.
  • Use of restrictor valve in the design of the bottle makes measuring each application very easy

The Bad

  • Use of synthetic additives to develop a fragrance in this oil–Not an all-natural oil
